Ascension Seton Hays Foundation
The Ascension Seton Hays Foundation works with our local philanthropic community south of Austin to support Ascension Seton Hays, Ascension Seton Edgar B. Davis, Ascension Seton Bastrop, Ascension Seton Southwest and Ascension Seton Smithville.
Ascension’s Mission
Rooted in the loving ministry of Jesus as healer, we commit ourselves to serving all persons with special attention to those who are poor and vulnerable. Our Catholic health ministry is dedicated to spiritually centered holistic care which sustains and improves the health of individuals and communities. We are advocates for a compassionate and just society through our actions and our words.
Our History
Established in 2008, The Ascension Seton Hays Foundation was created prior to the construction of the Seton Medical Center Hays as a way to raise capital for that facility. Then president of The Seton Foundations, Gene Attal, joined community leaders to create The Seton Hays Foundation, giving Seton the opportunity to partner with the southern market of Central Texas in order to provide high-quality, affordable, local healthcare.
